Here is the volunteer schedule I have next week for the AG LAB. We have a busy week this week! Below are the details! All week we have the mobile Ag Lab scheduled for our students! We have had some people volunteer to help but if you are interested please let Ms. Lewis know. The schedule will be sent after this. Let us know if you can help! Monday- 2nd grade students go to plant their marigolds on Main Street. Wednesday- 1st and 2nd grade have their field trip to Jackson’s Mill. More details will be sent to those families. Thursday- birthday table for May and June Thursday- PreK someone special activity at 2pm

Attention 5th grade parents. For our fishing trip on Friday, we plan to leave school around 11:30. Students may bring their own poles and tackle, however, they can not be brought in on the bus. If they wish to bring their own stuff, you can drop it off at school that morning and we will transport it to the game farm pond. It will then need picked up at the end of the day. Parents are invited to attend and you can follow the bus or meet us there. We wil also have sunscreen with us.

Happening this week Tuesday and Wednesday -Grades 345 will be taking the final Iready Diagnostic Wednesday -4th grade trip to transfer station (students must have their permission slip to go) -PTO and PAX Leader of the Month for April -Mrs. Miller, Superintendent will be talking about the upcoming levy during PTO Friday -Smiles dentist visit

4/11/24 Newsletter and Walk the Halls for graduating Seniors!

PreK does not attend school today. There is a literacy event from 10-1:30 at the Way Of Holiness Church if you would like to bring them out!

Hey 5th grade families...BUMS is having an Open House for incoming 6th graders on 4/23 4:30-5:30 and 4/25 5:30-6:30. A copy of the flyer is coming home today as well

Attention 5th grade families!! We are needing empty 16 Oz coca-cola bottles with the label still attached on it. Each student will need a bottle so we need 22. This is for a project in art. They will research an artist who is considered to be abstract or modernist/pop art. Then use that artist’s style to design a limited edition coke bottle.

Tuesday 26th -PTO and March PAX Leader of the Month Recognition 6pm Thursday 28th -Birthday lunch for March -PreK Easter Celebration 2pm Friday 29th -Easter Celebrations for K-5 Information for Easter Celebrations! -students may choose to make an Easter hat to wear on their celebration days. Awards will be given in the categories on the flyer. -students may choose to bring an Easter basket to hunt eggs in or they will be provided a grocery bag. -If you signed up to send in eggs, please do so ASAP so we can ensure we have enough for all the kids! Happening this week at HES! Wednesday -science presentations in classrooms from Spark -Family Science Night..with the Spark, the BU Zoo, dinner and door prizes! -NAEP tests for 4th grade only Thursday -bandland presenting to 5th graders to learn about internments for band at BUMS -birthday table for February -PreK fashion show at 2pm **we hope to see you at our science night as we have a fun evening planned. It’s free for families and we are feeding you dinner! We have some awesome door prizes to give away and some cool guests with animals!

Happening this week! Dominoes order forms/money due tomorrow. Please get them in so we can mail them in. BUMS coming to visit 5th grade-parents invited 9am For general informational session. We have special science programs coming to present to each class this week! We have partnered with Spark! Imagination And Science Center to bring hands on science to the classrooms!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday Hodgesville families! We wanted to send us a quick reminder that we as as we are approaching our Valentines party day. We would appreciate if you would send in your child's box/valentines tomorrow. This will help us know who may need some assistance prior to the party. If you cannot send it in tomorrow but you have them please just shoot your child's teacher a message. Also if you plan on sending your child something on Valentine's Day please remember that for bus students they cannot have balloons and all vases must be plastic.

Tomorrow is the last day for our candy hearts sale!!! Students can buy candy heart boxes for themselves, teachers/staff or friends and family. They are $1 each and will be delivered on Valentine's Day. Tomorrow is the last day to purchase! Also our Dominoes Fundraiser is doing so good. This money helps pay for field trip and staff/student appreciation. We have almost reached our $1,000 goal and will be raising it. We have 11 days to go on it!!
