Camo Christmas Dress Up Day!
Also, we added some items to the Santa Store, so if your student wants to shop again, they can...just send more money 🙂
Happening this week!!
1. Dress up days start tomorrow. See the flyer. Tomorrow is dress like your favorite character from a Christmas movie.
2. Santa Store is open on Monday and Tuesday from 10-2. All items are $2. Please remeber if you want your student to shop they need to bring in money.
3. Iready Reading Diagnostic is taking place. Remind kids to try hard and do their best!
4. Wednesday is an early release. Student will be released from school at 12 noon.
5. Thursday is the December birthday table!
6. Thursday is the PreK gingerbread activity at 2pm.
7. Thursday is the PTO meeting and December PAX leader of the month recognition at 4pm.
8. 5th grade is getting to sample our fresh chicken eggs tomorrow. Student must have permission slips on file to participate.
Good afternoon, this is Ms. Lewis, Principal at Hodgesville Elementary School. I wanted to extend a special thank you to the Sheriff's Department for working with the school today to act out of extra caution to keep our students all day. At this time, the suspect has been apprehended and is in cutody. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on Monday morning. Some quick announcements/reminders:
1. PTO and November PAX Leader of the Month is tonight at 5pm.
2. Birthday table for November is tomorrow, Thursday 11/30.
3. Saturday is our PTO Vendor Show with a visit from the Grinch.
4. If you received an application for the Shop with a First Responder and need help turning it in, please send it to school tomorrow. Tomorrow is the deadline.
5. The Santa Store is now 11/11 and 11/12 due to the early dismissal. Please let us know if you can help work it. It will run 10:00-2:00
6. Wednesday 11/13 is a 12:00 dismissal.
7. We still have several permission slips not turned in for the animal show and the basketball game. If you do not plan on sending your child, please at least let us know.
8. There will be a Disguise the Elf page coming home. This is similar to the Disguise th Turkey. It is optional, but the kids really seemed to enjoy doing them with familiar.

9/29 Newsletter
Bus 19, 31 and 35 will not be running tomorrow 9/29.
Bus 31 will not be running morning or evening runs on Friday 9/29. Please see the attached flyer with information.
Happening this week!
Wednesday is career day and our dress like your future career fundraiser. $2 and dress up for what you want to be when you grow up!
Thursday is our birthday table for September. Lunch for PK is 11:20, L-2 lunch is at 11:30 and lunch for 3-5 is at 12:05.
We also have our PTO meeting Thursday at 1pm. We will be recognizing our September PAX Leaders of the Month during the meeting! It starts at 1pm!
Video Score Reports are being emailed home to students to share thier WVGSA results.

We are having a lot of issues with students writing on the bathroom stalls as well as peeling the paint off. Please remind your child of bathroom expectations.
We are monitoring bathroom usage and are hoping to get it stopped as it costs money and time to repaint them.
