Congratulations to Landen in 4th grade and Chaz in 3rd grade!
Both young men have artwork selected to be entered into a statewide competition, "Almost Heaven" Governor's Art Exhibition.
The competition is sponsored by Gov. Jim Justice and First Lady Cathy Justice, along with the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History (WVDACH).
"Almost Heaven" is designed to showcase student creativity and the arts, this year’s exhibition is a call for one-of-a-kind postcard designs that feature your favorite wildlife and/or plant in West Virginia. Selected postcard artwork will later be used by the West Virginia Tourism Office to personally invite travelers to Almost Heaven.
Landen, 4th grade, created a cardinal drawing using marker on his art titled "Morning Bird."
Chaz, 3rd Grade, used pencil, marker and pen to draw his larger cardinal called "Chaz's Cardinal" on a branch.
We wish both of these young men good luck in the competition.
