Hodgesville Elementary School is pleased to announce we were selected as a winner in the WVDE's Math 4 Life Success Competition.
West Virginia’s math4Life initiative is a comprehensive and intensive statewide effort to improve student mathematics performance throughout the state over the next five years.
At the end of last year, schools were asked to submit the number of students showing growth in Math.
Hodgesville Elementary School had 128 students out of 146 show growth! That is 88% of our students made growth from the beginning of the year to the end of the year!
As a result of our success, we were awarded $1000 to reward students who showed growth.
Each of the 128 students received a certificate and a goody bag with a Uno game to practice their Math skills, a ruler, a math facts pencil, and a bracelet.
